Even though Integrity Toner is proud of their compatible products and stands behind them with an unconditional guarantee, there may still be some concerns you may have regarding compatible products. The following information is meant to address your concerns.

A few notes about compatible supplies

The compatible industry has been around for several decades. In the beginning all compatible cartridges were of poor quality. Essentially, the reason for this was that a hole was drilled into the cartridge and some ink/toner was poured in.

This was a bad idea, but the huge savings enticed a lot of customers and they bought them. Unfortunately, it did not take long for things to go wrong.

A toner cartridge has a lot of parts (as you saw in our 10 points above). Also, all printers, fax machines and copiers have, in relative terms, a very small motor. The motor is there to turn the gears in the toner cartridge. Of course a toner cartridge that does not have its gears and parts replaced will get worn down pretty quickly and that’s basically what happened. All these toner cartridges that had only a hole drilled in them did not have any of the integral parts replaced. Thus, the printer’s motors very quickly began to struggle with turning the worn gears in these cartridges and soon they burned out. This caused a huge backlash in the compatible industry. Understandably, the customer no longer wanted the savings of buying a compatible cartridge because they tended to burn out your printer!

The compatible industry was not to be denied went back to the drawing board and started from scratch. They realized that the only way they would get the customer back was if their cartridges did not break the printers and that they performed at least as well a new OEM cartridge. The process became more and more improved in the early 2000’s when high quality compatible cartridges actually became as good as the new OEM.

This was a fantastic breakthrough for the compatible industry. However, there were a lot of suspicious customers who had been burned before so the conversion back to compatibles was slow. Also, all kinds of urban myths regarding compatible toners had emerged over the years so most customers were really confused. Over the last few years more and more customers have come to realize that the new generations of compatible cartridges are, in fact, equal to the task as any brand new OEM cartridge.

Yet, there are still some compatible products out there that are causing some problems. Why? It’s simple. In every industry there are those who are in it to make a quick profit. These operators are not seeking to maintain the level of integrity that the compatible industry has worked so hard to regain. Instead, they cut corners, do not replace the necessary parts, and in no way attempt to make a quality product. So how do they manage to sell their products? They simply offer their products at such reduced prices that the “great deal” opportunity bites even the most scrupulous buyer. So beware: a low price in the compatible industry is synonymous with low quality.

So while the compatible industry has some shady operators, we would like to assure you that all the compatible products for sale at Integrity Toner are ISO certified and manufactured to the highest technical standards. This is why Integrity Toner offers an unconditional 1-year guarantee against workmanship or manufacturing defects of any kind.

If your current retailer does not meet the following manufacturing processes described below, be careful as you may be headed for trouble.

Integrity Toner Compatible Quality and Manufacturing

The manufacturing process at Integrity Toner is a testament to our commitment to quality. Each cartridge undergoes a thorough cleaning, inspection, and testing process before they are deemed worthy for release.

The toner hopper and waste collector are cleaned with compressed air in a special cleaning room, and wiped down with a lint-free cloth to extract toner particles.

  • A brand new drum is replaced every time we remanufacture a cartridge. We realize that the drum is the most instrumental part of the cartridge and cannot be compromised with substandard equipment.
  • A brand new PCR and MAG roller are replaced each time as well. These items are responsible for the transportation of toner through the imaging process. If toner is not properly transported, copy quality issues arise. Both of the PCR and MAG rollers have a synthetic coating and are subject to constant wear. Therefore, replacement is absolutely necessary.
  • The wiper and doctor blades aid in cleaning the surface of the drum and MAG roller respectively after each image is produced. Over time, the rubber of the blades (much like that of a windshield wiper blade) becomes worn and can cause rotational scratches to the surface of the drum and MAG roller.
  • After each cartridge is completely reassembled, a toner seal is put on to prevent leakage between the hopper and waste collector.
  • The cartridge then goes into 60 page testing, where copy quality, such as darkness, print clarity and print density, is rigorously checked before packaging.
